Artist, songwriter and producer, Tommy Iceland, has never been one to resist transformation. Whether through worldwide travel or personal musicianship, his story is a testimony of God’s faithfulness in the midst of pain and transition.

As honored in his name, Tommy was born in Hafnarfjördur, Iceland. Raised in a musical family off the west coast of Sweden, his upbringing was saturated with gospel singers, songwriters, and recording artists. This led to his passion for songwriting at age twelve, an enthusiasm that also placed him in various bands growing up as he honed his craft.

Later in life, Tommy felt called to work with youth in Tanzania and was given his first opportunity to play original music in villages across the country. He also met his wife overseas while she was volunteering in the area.

After his time in Tanzania, Tommy became a worship leader and began serving at a church in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was there that he also began producing, and recording albums.

Tommy signed a publishing deal with Full Circle Music in 2018 and soon made his way to the US to start his career as a songwriter, producer and artist. He now resides in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife and two sons. This move would prove to be one of the biggest steps of faith in Tommy’s life. The transition was stacked with uncertainty, but God was good and divine doors began to open.

Tommy now has co-writing credits on two songs recorded on Grammy-nominated albums. This includes “Impact” by Chris Tomlin and “For No Other Reason” by Jesus Culture. He continues to write and collaborate on multiple projects.

As an artist, Tommy’s music is inspired out of his own personal testimony. From his experience with trauma and PTSD, he hopes that by diving deep into heavier themes, his music will help build a bridge from pain to God’s healing hand.
